Anita Sams
Art and nature
have been twin passions for Anita from her earliest memories of all those
scraps of paper with drawings of dogs on them--books full of pressed flowers
and leaves,--collections of feathers, rocks, and even snakeskins.
Living in the
wooded hills near Big Rapids, Michigan affords Anita a daily opportunity to
study and learn from nature. As she paints, Anita’s goal is to capture those
quiet moments and fleeting glimpses of the beauty in the commonplace which
we so often miss in our busy day-to-day lives--translating them into paint
on paper and canvas to share with you.
Anita is
primarily a watercolorist, however, she does occasionally work in other
mediums such as prisma color pencil, acrylic and others. You can purchase
Anita’s work at NCCA-The Artsplace. Her work is available in framed
originals, prints and limited edition cards.
