Learn to prepare a surface for oils; develop an under painting, build up with glazing, scumbling, ala prima, and impasto techniques; and finish with varnish. Mineral spirits used in class can be an irritant to some.

Fused Glass Candle Holder
Thurs., January 27 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Ages 16+ $55 ($50 Members)
Participants will learn about glass fusing, slumping and the use of frit, stringers, fusible glass and glass paint to create a slumped fused glass tealight candle holder.
Capture the essence of our Lake Michigan shoreline in this unique felted piece. Using wool roving and a barbed needle students will create their piece layer by layer. Students should bring a 4” x 6” frame. This would be a perfect piece for a cottage or a hostess gift.
Etched Metal Pendant and Earrings with Casey Bemis

If you are looking to experience an interesting jewelry technique this summer, metal etching could be the perfect answer. In this class Casey will guide you through the process of creating your own design on brass or copper. Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel with Dakota Brandt

Class Fee: $85($80 Members) Ages 16-Adult
Join ceramic artist Dakota Brandt in learning the techniques of centering the clay, pulling up the sides, trimming, and finally glazing your own clay pieces. In between sessions students may continue to work in our pottery place and practice these techniques. Class fee includes up to 25# of clay per person. Class size limited to 3.

Are you a bird lover? In this class Olivia will guide you in the process of creating your choice of bird using
colorful wool roving and a barbed needle. This is a unique process that anyone can enjoy. Call a group of
friends and enjoy this class together. Each participant will receive a kit to continue felting at home.
