Paper piecing is a form of collage that can create bold and whimsical illustrations. Students will use a large collection of painted and textured papers to create this wild cat character. Afterward the collage will be detailed with art pens and matted.

Self Expression Silhouettes
Thurs., July 21 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Create a collage of symbols words and images that literally paint a self portrait and then trace your silhouette to be cut out and mounted on mat board. This is a mixed media class.
Feathered Friends Cardinal Fabric Landscape with Dr. Kruszynski

Learn the art of collage landscaping. Feathered Friends 8”x8.” You will amaze yourself at how easy it is to create a simple fabric landscape of a vibrant cardinal (February 4) and cuddly chickadees (February 25). Prepare to have a great time expressing your creativity through fabric!
Owl Painting/Collage

In this class students will first create some painted papers and then assemble them into a unique owl composition.
Learn the art of collage quilt landscaping with stunning and versatile lakeside/cattail design. You will amaze yourself at how easy it is to create a beautiful botanical seascape in fabric! Prepare to have fun! Sewing machine needed. Materials list provided at registration.
This beautiful piece is hands on and fun to create! It begins with adding color to old book pages and sheet music. Then we tear our colorful papers into shapes and artfully adhere them to a 12“ x 12” canvas. It’s a great way to “paint” a sunflower without a brush!
