NCCA-Artsplace Youth Arts Month Exhibit – March 2 – 24
Newaygo County youth from Kindergarten through 6th grades enter this annual art competition and exhibition featuring a wide range of mediums.

Awards announcement video will be posted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, at www.ncca-artsplace.org and Facebook @NCCA-Artsplace.

NCCA-Artsplace Youth Arts Month Exhibit – March 2 – 24
Newaygo County youth from Kindergarten through 6th grades enter this annual art competition and exhibition featuring a wide range of mediums.

The deadline to enter the NCCA-Artsplace Youth Arts Month Competition is Thursday, February 17, at 5:00 p.m. The 2022 theme is “Let Your Imagination Bloom”.

Open to all Newaygo County Kindergarten through 6th Grade students.

Awards announcement video will be posted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, at www.ncca-artsplace.org and Facebook @NCCA-Artsplace.

2021 NCCA-Artsplace Statewide Photography Competition

The NCCA-Artsplace Statewide Photography Competition is an annual event with the goal of exhibiting and acknowledging some of the finest photographers in Michigan while encouraging greater growth and achievement in the photographic community. With an entry deadline of July 19, photographers across the state are shooting and printing their favorite subjects for their entries in this year’s competition.

Michigan photographers, 18 years or older, are encouraged to take part in this juried competition. All photographic processes are accepted and each photographer may submit up to two pieces of work for the entry fee of $30. Members of NCCA-Artsplace may submit two pieces for a reduced entry fee of $25. All entries must be framed and ready to display.

Selected works submitted to the competition will be exhibited in the NCCA-Artsplace Ray and Phyllis Jansma Exhibition Gallery August 5 through September 8. The award announcements will be held livestream on August 6 at 6:00 p.m. Photographers awarded first, second or third place will be provided a cash prize. Honorable mention pieces will also be selected. The juror for 2021 is West Michigan photographer, Dianne Carroll Burdick.

Juror: Dianne Carroll Burdick
A Western Michigan University graduate with a BFA in Photography, Dianne is a free-lance photographer in Grand Rapids. Her clients have included USA Today, Grand Valley State University, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, the Grand Rapids Symphony, the Public Museum of Grand Rapids, Porter Hills, The Salvation Army, United Way, GR Magazine, BLUE magazine, ArtPrize and Opera Grand Rapids. She is a Continuing Studies Instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design where she teaches Photography/ Digital. She has participated in over fifty art exhibitions and her work is included in six books. Dianne is the recipient of thirty awards in Photography.

2014 NCCA-Artsplace “Baby It’s Cold Outside” Winter Photo Contest

Deadline: Monday, December 8, 2014 – 5:30 p.m.
Eligibility: Open to everyone, photos must be unframed, 8” x 10” and involve a winter theme.
Awards: Friday, December 12, 5:30 p.m. at NCCA-Artsplace.

NCCA-Artplace Holiday Card Competition

Deadline: Wednesday, November 19, 5:30 p.m.

NCCA Holiday Card Competition is open to any kindergarten through 12th grade student who lives in Newaygo County or attends a Newaygo County School. Five winning entries are made into holiday cards and sold during the holiday season to benefit the youth programs at NCCA-Artsplace! A special awards presentation will be held at NCCA-Artsplace on December 12, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. before the Fremont Christmas Stroll. Each of the winners will receive a package of cards. Winter Community Photography Competition “Baby It’s Cold Outside!”

Entry Deadline is December 6, 2013

Anyone can enter for free. Photos must be unframed 8″x10″ and fit the theme “Baby It’s Cold Outside!” We are looking for photos that express the beauty of winter in Michigan!

Winning entries announced at NCCA-Artsplace, December 13 at 5:30 p.m. during the Fremont Christmas Walk. Photographs will be on display through December 30. Call NCCA-Artsplace 231-924-4022 for details.
