Digital Photography

Class Fee $15.00

Ages 9-12

Experienced photographers will guide students through all of the workings of a digital camera and then take
students outdoors to try some of the different camera settings. The second day they will focus on macro
settings and the rule of thirds. The final day will be spent in a class critique of their work and learning how to

Drawing

If you love to draw, this is the class for you! Sharpen your skills and learn some new techniques while working in a variety of mediums including graphite, charcoal, ink and pastel. Deep Blue Sea

Pack your swimming suit and scuba gear, we are planning an art trip to the deep blue sea. Using the ocean and its interesting creatures as inspiration we will use a variety of art mediums in two and three dimensions. Art from the Start

Claytastic, Session 1

Get muddy at NCCA-Artsplace! This class is limited to 6 participants per session so each participant will get
some experience throwing on the potter’s wheel! Students will also learn how to hand build, connect, and roll a
slab! Learn several different finishing techniques including glazing, staining and painting. All work goes home

Shibori Dyed Infinity Silk Scarves with Kay Brennan

Tuesday 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Ages 12-Adult
Kay has been creating a new style of dyed silk scarves using the shibori technique. Each student will design two infinity scarves. These scarves are giant loops of silk that can be layered and draped around the neck. Choose from a variety of rich colors that coordinate with your wardrobe. The scarves will be dyed in class then Kay will wash and process the scarves for pick up after Thursday, October 2. This is a great night out for a group of friends.
