Using bold colorful wool roving, beads and embroidery thread, students will needle felt a beautiful flower pin to brighten any hat, scarf or lapel! This is a great introduction to mixed fiber arts, a medium that can be carried into fashion and textile design!
Capture the essence of our Lake Michigan shoreline in this unique felted piece. Using wool roving and a barbed needle students will create their piece layer by layer. Students should bring a 4” x 6” frame. This would be a perfect piece for a cottage or a hostess gift.
What a fun felted project to get us in the mood for summer. In this project Olivia will gently guide you through the process of creating a mermaid using colorful wool roving and a barbed needle. Each student will receive a kit to continue felting at home.
Introduction to Needle Felting – Let’s Make a Sheep with Olivia Johnson

Spend a fun evening exploring the art of needle felting. Using wool roving and a barbed needle Olivia will gently guide you through the process of forming a sheep. This is a fun activity for a group of friends. Each participant will receive a kit to continue at home.

Enjoy forming a goldfinch by using wool fibers and barbed
needles. Each student will receive a kit to take with them
to continue exploring this new art at home.

Join needle felting artist, Olivia Johnson, in learning the
art and technique of creating a needle felted chickadee.
Students will use barbed needles and wool fibers to form
these little birds. Each student will receive a kit to take
with them to continue exploring at home.

Ages 14-Adult
Come and explore the art of felting with instructor Judy Grant. In this class you will learn the basics of wet felting using layers of rich wool roving and silk. Each person will create a rose that may be used as a fashion accessory, as a brooch on a coat, hat, scarf or purse. No prior experience is necessary to thoroughly enjoy this class. Bring two old thick towels and a lunch.
