This easy beginner potted flower project will be condensed to a one day workshop with a short break for lunch. Choose from 3 patterns and create 2 potted flowers. In the morning we’ll trace our patterns, cut glass and fit with a little grinding. After lunch we’ll tape, solder and finish with a patina and wax! Pot, foam and moss base is provided also.

Participants will learn about glass fusing using a black grouted mosaic technique to create a bold floral 4 x 6 panel to hang or frame! This fun glass class is taught by local artist Barb Wagenmaker, and is great for beginner and intermediate alike!

Use a simple pattern to cut petals, grid edges, copper tape and solder to a glass gem center. Add a garden state. This flower is a beautiful addition to any container garden or flower bed.

INSPIRE Art for TEENS: Needle Felted Flower Pin with Olivia Johnson

Using bold colorful wool roving, beads and embroidery thread, students will needle felt a beautiful flower pin to brighten any hat, scarf or lapel! This is a great introduction to mixed fiber arts, a medium that can be carried into fashion and textile design!

Every garden needs some bling. In this class students will learn basic stained glass techniques while creating
a colorful glass flower stake mounted on a rod perfect for adding some color to your garden.

Wood Carving – Flower Relief with Bruce Smith

Monday 5:30-7:30 p.m.,  June 8, 15

Ages 12-Adult

Take advantage of years of wood carving experience
to learn a new craft. Class participants will be given
instruction in the use of carving tools and the skill of
creating a flower relief from basswood. The first night
will be spent learning the craft with the second night
fine tuning the technique. This would be a wonderful
project to continue on your own at home after the
class. Call a few friends and take this together. Please
register for this class by Monday, June 1.
