Learn how to create a multiple color white-line woodblock print. Inspired by the colorful Japanese multiple woodblock print, a group of printmakers who had settled in Provincetown, MA in the early 1900’s created a unique style that has become to be known as the Provincetown Printmakers white-line woodcut. The white-line woodcut is like no other medium. Learn how to transfer your drawing, carve and color a single woodblock to create a luminous white-line wood block print. This process does not require large equipment, it can be repeated beyond the classroom. Tools and papers are supplied.
