Even if you’re not a Swede, you’ll enjoy these traditionally painted wooden ornaments. The Dala horse is often seen as a symbol of Sweden, carved out of leftover wood scrap from the central furniture building region and given as toys. Each student will complete 3-6 ornaments, about 3” each. Students will base coat each wooden horse with one of four traditional colors and then practice and adorn each horse with the saddle and harness patterns.
