In this class students will be introduced to one of the world’s favorite artists – Vincent van Gogh while recreating his painting The Starry Night.

 

The Ultimate Summer Art Challenge

Monday, July 23 – Thursday, July 26,

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Ages 9-12.

This class is for the student that is not afraid of a challenge. Each day students will be given a new task and a choice of materials. Perhaps it will be a building constructed from cardboard and found objects or a sculpture from wood and wire. Keep your creative brain charged over the summer and accept this challenge.

Like An Artist – Discovering American Artists

Ages 9-12.

This is the summer to discover the art of American artists. From a farmer and his daughter to a blue dog, American artists are fun and original. Learn to recognize their style and understand what inspired them. Create paintings and sculptures that honor their work.

The Summer of Horses

Hear the sound of a galloping horse? Students in this class will discover the beauty of horses, drawing horses, sculpting horses out of clay, creating a mixed media horse theme collage. Horses have been part of our culture being carved, sculpted, drawn and painted for thousands of years, since before recorded history!

Art Tells A Story

Monday, July 9 – Thursday, July 12,

Ages 6-8.

This class is a summer sampler that will include the art of sculpture, landscape, portraiture, printmaking and painting. Students will learn to recognize and use the elements of art in their work as they create artwork that tells a story.

From Sea to Shining Sea

Ages 6-8.

Celebrate our beautiful USA by taking a cross country art trip from the Atlantic Ocean through the center of our country all the way to the west coast. Look for skyscrapers and mountains and criss-cross farm lands and rivers. What a great art adventure!
