DESCRIPTION:Attention all creators in Newaygo County! You are invited to participate in an exhibition\, a spotlight if you will\, of artists working and living in Newaygo County! If you create art and you’re in Newaygo County we want to know about it!\n\n• Submit 1-3 pieces in any medium 3D\, 2D\, drawing\, painting\, photography\, printmaking\, wood carving\, clay\, resin\, furniture\, boat making\, paddle making\, rod tying\, fly tying\, weaving\, mosaic work\, stained glass\, metal work or mixed media. Art must fit through our doors.\n\n• Drop Off Dates/Times:\nThursday\, April 9\, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.\nFriday\, April 10\, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.\nSaturday\, April 11\, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.\n\n• Salon Night Saturday\, April 11\, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. See all submitted work\, meet fellow artists\, enjoy food and live music. Enjoy optional peer-to-peer art reviews. Attendance encouraged. All work will be on display during Salon Night on April 11. Artwork will be chosen from this event for the curated exhibition on display April 14 through May 23.\n\n• Free to enter up to three pieces of artwork.\n\n• Exhibit on display APRIL 14 – MAY 23.\n\n• Artwork may be for display only or for sale at a\n30% consignment rate.\n\n• All work must be ready to hang or display.\n2D pieces need D-Rings with wire on the back.\n\n• NOTIFICATION: After Salon Night\, artists selected for the exhibit will be notified by Monday\, April 13. DESCRIPTION:Timeline\nEntries Due : May 15\, 5:00 p.m. \nAcceptance Notification May 20 \nExhibit Opens May 27 \nReception and Awards Saturday\, May 30\n10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. \nExhibit Closes July 3 \nPick-up All Work by July 25 \nOur goal is to exhibit and acknowledge the finest photographers in the state of Michigan and encourage greater growth and achievement in the photographic community. This is a juried competition. Selected works will be exhibited and among them will be the honor of 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd place and honorable mentions receiving ribbons and cash awards ($300\, $200\, $100\, $50). \n2026 Juror: Lora Robertson \nLora Robertson is a Leica Master Photographer and filmmaker. As Executive Director of Satellite Collective\, Robertson advocates for women’s voices in the arts and explores themes of resistance and identity in her photography and sculpture. Her works have been featured at the Baryshnikov Arts Center\, Brooklyn Academy of Music\, Canada Gallery\, Mriya Gallery & Rosebud Contemporary in New York City. A long time resident of Fremont\, Michigan\, she is honored to judge the state wide photography competition at NCCA-Artsplace. \nEntry Guidelines\n• Must be Michigan resident\, 18 or older\, to submit work.\n• Work must be framed and ready to display or finished appropriately.\n• All photographic processes are accepted.\n• NCCA reserves the right to decline artwork for any reason.\n• Accepted work may be placed for sale during the exhibit.\n• A 30% commission is charged on all sales during exhibit.\n• Each eligible photographer may submit up to two photographs.\n• All entries must be delivered to NCCA by May 15\, 5:00 p.m.\n• Entry labels must be firmly affixed to the back of the entries.\n• Please indicate the photographic process in your description.
