Clay Apple Bowl Sat. September 20 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $12 Just in time for the apple harvest season. Come and form a sweet little clay bowl, add interesting details (worm?), glaze your piece. Pieces can be picked up after they are fired on September 30.
Let’s Design a Mask! Tues. September 23 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. Ages 9-12 $12 This is a challenge for our art students. Using a variety of materials we want our students to create a mask that will amaze us. Do you accept the challenge?
Into the Autumn Forest Sat. October 4 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ages 4-6 $7 In this class our beginning artists will celebrate the colors of autumn by creating a mixed media forest using line, shape, color, space and overlapping.
Giraffe Divided by 3 Sat. October 4 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $12 In this class students will use acrylic paint techniques to complete a head and neck painting of a giraffe divided into three sections. Learn about color mixing and painting techniques.
Negative Space Autumn Leaves Thurs. October 9 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. Ages 9-12 $12 Are you ready to bring in the colors of fall into your home? These leaf paintings are done on watercolor paper layer by layer. Your finished paintings will be matted.
Pumpkin on Pattern Sat. October 11 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ages 4-6 $7 Using tempera paint our youngest students will create a patterned background for their painted pumpkins. They will learn about color mixing, shape and form in this seasonal piece.
Pumpkins at Midnight Sat. October 11 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $12 Imagine a group of pumpkins nestled in the garden under a full moon. This bold art work will be created with oil pastel blending.
Batik Angel Thurs. October 14 & 21 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. Ages 13 - 18 $12 Create this 8 x 10 matted batik angel to display for the holidays! Learn to use wax, fabric and batik dyes to create this bold colorful traditional form of fabric painting.
Spooky Clay Bowl Thurs. October 16 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. Ages 9-12 $12 Just in time for Halloween. Come and form a spooky clay bowl. It is a little bit of a pinch pot and a lot of BOO. Students will need to pick up their bowl on or after October 25.
Mask Making Sat. October 18 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ages 4-6 $7 Just for fun our students will have the opportunity to create a mask that is a bit like a puzzle. We will have a buffet of shapes, textures, stamps, paint, fabrics and our artists will be able to assemble their own design. […]
