Prerequisite: previous pottery wheel experience required

Are you ready to take your wheel throwing to the next
level? Join ceramic artist, Dakota Brandt, and prepare
to explore new techniques such as creating lidded jars
and pulling handles. In between class sessions students
may continue to work in our pottery place and practice
these techniques. Class fee includes up to 25# of clay per
person. Class size limed to 3.

Sun Catcher with Tracy Kehr

Thursday 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Ages 12-Adult

Join artist Tracy Kehr in the design and construction of a
unique sun catcher using mirror, stained glass, and an old
license plate. In the process of creating this eye catching art
piece participants also learn glass cutting skills.

Mosaic Glass Vase with Mary Anderson

Monday 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Ages 14-Adult

Prepare to create an art piece that could be a great gift
or a beautiful piece to accent your home. Each student
will create their own colorful design from stained glass
on a 9” vase. Participants will learn to use glass cutting
tools to cut and shape each piece of glass. Check out
Mary’s work in the NCCA-Artsplace Artist Market.

Glass on Glass Mosaic Windows with Deb Emerick

$10 Discount if you bring your own window
Class fee includes all materials.

Come and join mosaic artist, Deb Emerick, and transform
an old window into a colorful work of art using stained
glass and other materials. Deb will guide you through the
process of designing your window and then implementing
your design using glass cutting and mosaic skills. You
may bring your own window or you may stop in at the
NCCA-Artsplace and select a window.

Shibori Dyed Infinity Silk Scarves with Kay Brennan

Tuesday 6:00-7:30 p.m.

September 30

Ages 12-Adult
Kay has been creating a new style of dyed silk scarves using the shibori technique. Each student will design two infinity scarves. These scarves are giant loops of silk that can be layered and draped around the neck. Choose from a variety of rich colors that coordinate with your wardrobe. The scarves will be dyed in class then Kay will wash and process the scarves for pick up after Thursday, October 2. This is a great night out for a group of friends.
