Andrea Huntley will discuss the different metals available to create jewelry, and the hardness of the metals. Pre-made cabochons will be selected at the time of class. Working with sterling silver or argentium silver, we will create a backed bezel setting, learn the basics of soldering, the importance of pre filing to ensure a perfect fit, and options for attaching a bail. Students will complete a pendant set in a silver bezel, with an understanding of soldering basics.
