Hana Sawyer – Turbulance – October 14 through December 20

HanaHana’s charcoal and graphite work evokes a sense of the power of nature, the changing currents of life, it’s beginnings and turbulent moments. These powerful abstract drawings are at once familiar and distant. Themes of both destruction, creation and the expanse of our universe come to mind when viewing these powerful drawings.

Hana has recently had pieces from this series accepted into the Muskegon Museum of Art Regional Show, Grand Rapids Festival and Artprize 2014. We’re thrilled to have her work at the Dogwood Center. A reception will be held on November 8, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Dogwood Center for Performing Arts. Stop in and see her work October 14 through December 20, 2014
