Learn to prepare a surface for oils; develop an under painting, build up with glazing, scumbling, ala prima, and impasto techniques; and finish with varnish. Mineral spirits used in class can be an irritant to some.

Learn shading and blending techniques that can be applied to any oil pastel painting. After this class you will confidently start your journey to creating beautiful pastel artwork. Materials provided.

Ages 16-Adult
Bring an 8×10” avg. piece of art to frame. The first day we’ll discuss terminology and how to choose and order materials. The second day students will learn about tools, cut, mount and assemble their projects.
