Learn to slice, shape and polish stones to use in jewelry! Each student will create one pendant using a variety of stone for their cabochon. We will be using a flat lap, cab king, slab saw, and a variety of grinders in this process.

Learn equipment, materials, terminology, measuring, cutting and assembling completed framed artwork. Please bring approx. 8” x 10” item to frame. We’ll learn materials, measuring and order the first day, and we’ll assemble the second. Class includes all basic materials to frame an 8”x10” ish piece of work. Custom frames extra.

Students will lean how to make multiple tiles by learning basic mold making. Students will create a 4×4” master tile, then make a plaster mold and reproduce tile ready for firing and glazing.

Understanding how to manipulate soft and hard edges is a fundamental skill in painting. When employed properly, edges can define shapes, create depth and dimension, simulate texture and guide the viewer’s eye. This workshop will emphasize ways to create and employ lost and found edges in order to create a sense of mystery, more fully engage the viewer and strengthen your painting’s impact. This workshop is suitable for all watercolorists with at least intermediate experience.

Students will be inspired by ancient designs to create modern jewelry that is easy to create using only wire, beads and basic tools. Types of wires will be covered for the best results. This class is a great way to learn a new medium with little investment. A necklace, a pair of earrings and a bracelet can be created in this two-part class.

If you’ve already taken a beginner class this is your chance to develop a larger project. Up to 30 piece stained glass pattern with Zinc Edge Framing. Choose from a variety of provided patterns or get your own pattern approved ahead of first class. Weeks one and two will be cutting and grinding, week three will be taping and tacking/soldering. Week four is adding zinc edge, exploring hanging options and creating patina/waxing. All materials and provided, unless there is a unique color or texture of glass required for your pattern. Open studio times encouraged.
