Etched Copper Cuffs with Casey Bemis

Ages 16-Adult $55 ($50 Members)
Students will create two 1 inch cuff bracelets and two 1/4 inch cuff bracelets. Create one of a kind pattern on copper cuffs that will be etched and then finished with patina to highlight patterns in this two session jewelry making class.

Junior Embossed Metal Tape Relief

Ages 6-8 $10
This is a unique project that combines a piece of wood, random fancy junk, silver tape and accenting color. The result is an interesting relief sculpture that is a blend of classy and steampunk. You just have to see it!
Tin Star

Using the art of repousse students will create a tin star which can be used as an ornament or mounted on a piece of wood.
Travel the Universe with Mrs. Maat

In this class students will use a variety of techniques including repousse to design their own outer space adventure.
Repousse Heart
Thurs., February 2 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Prepare to give your heart away after designing a heart using tin and basic tools to emboss and chase the metal, and adding a patina!
Intro to Metal Smithing – Cabochon Bezel Setting
Thurs., September 15, 22 and 29 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Andrea Huntley will discuss the different metals available to create jewelry, and the hardness of the metals. Pre-made cabochons will be selected at the time of class. Working with sterling silver or argentium silver, we will create a backed bezel setting, learn the basics of soldering, the importance of pre filing to ensure a perfect fit, and options for attaching a bail. Students will complete a pendant set in a silver bezel, with an understanding of soldering basics.
Relief Sculpture

Construct a relief sculpture using a variety of materials including wood, metals and found objects to create a fun sculpture with a monochrome finish inspired by the art of Louise Nevelson.
Valentine Heart Repousse Designs

Ages 6-8 $7
Repousse is a metal working technique where designs are created by using a variety of tools to press a design onto a sheet of metal.
