Lori is an artist and illustrator raised and living in the West Michigan and has
studied fine art and illustration at Kendall College of Art and Design. Lori has illustrated several books including Nishnawbe, A Story of Indians in Michigan, by Lynne Deur; The Lark Who Had No Song by Carolyn Nystrom; Does God Know How to Tie Shoes? by Nancy White Carlstrom; I Am Christmas by Nancy White Carlstrom; Read For Me, Mama by Vashanti Rahaman; Da Wei’s Treasure by Raymond and Margaret Chang; Mommy Poems by John Micklos Jr.; From Slavery to Freedom by Melinda Lilly and Jean Nickolet; The Sign of the Thunderbird by Peter and Connie Roup; If Jesus Came to my House by Joan Gale Thomas and Barefoot, Poems for Naked Feet by Stefi Weisburd, among other freelance works. She also received the 2008 Magazine Merit Honor Award-Society of Children’s Book Authors and illustrators. For this exhibit Lori will feature her nature inspired illustrations of Michigan woodland and wilderness creatures.
Stacy Niedzwiecki: What Fifty Looks Like

What Fifty Looks Like covers Stacy’s adventures and endeavors from past to present. Interesting to note, Stacy first exhibited her photographic work in the 2009 NCCA-Artsplace Statewide Photography Competition! We’re proud to see where she’s been! Niedzwiecki’s photos have a variety of style, subject matter, and location, as demonstrated in the Retrospective exhibit. This includes landscapes, bodies of water, flowers, farms, wildlife, abstracts, portraiture and more. In celebration of the artist’s 50th birthday, the exhibit features 50 photographs reproduced on an assortment of materials and surfaces. Included within this show are pieces from “Congruity” – an inspiring collaborative ArtPrize entry by Stacy and author Jeannie Gregory.
Stacy has been involved in digital photography for approximately 15 years, but her art and graphic design career has traversed nearly three decades. Her fascination with nature’s beauty eventually found its way through the camera lens, netting awards in multiple regional, national and international competitions. While she is particularly drawn to the beauty found within our own state of Michigan, the body of work also includes scenes from her travels in Ohio, Wisconsin, Colorado, Minnesota and California.
Devoted to her art, Niedzwiecki is a member of the North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA), the Rogue River Artists Association, and has participated in several artist residency programs sponsored by the Glen Arbor Art Association, as well as the Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology’s Hill House in Bellaire, Michigan. Niedzwiecki actively supplies imagery for Stacy Lake CVB, the Rockford Economic Development Corporation, Rockford Chamber of Commerce, Michigan BLUE magazine and the Shoreline Visitors’ Guide.
Her most honored accomplishment is the installation of 63 of her nature images at the permanent art collection in the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, which opened in 2008 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Those images were showcased in her first book effort, Healing Images – A Selection from the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion which was released in 2010.

About Patricia Pardee
From colorful crayons to colored pencils, I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Not until last year (2015) did I decide to let my drawings see the light of day. After putting away my pencils for about six years did I pick them up again, finishing about seven in one year. Drawing for me is a slow process. I’ll spend a few hours on an idea and then put it away for a day or two.
During this time I let the drawing tumble around in my head in order to go back to it with fresh ambition. My drawings represent the infinite world of nature, unified with the imagination, creating what I hope is a dream like resonance for the viewer.

Take advantage of years of wood carving experience
to learn a new craft. Class participants will be given
instruction in the use of carving tools and the skill of
creating a flower relief from basswood. The first night
will be spent learning the craft with the second night
fine tuning the technique. This would be a wonderful
project to continue on your own at home after the
class. Call a few friends and take this together. Please
register for this class by Monday, June 1.

Come and explore the art of needle felting with instructor Judy Grant. In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting using layers of rich wool roving colors. Each person will be given a choice of an 8”x10” floral landscape with poppies or flowers in a vase still life. After completing your design you will add interest using beads and creative stitching. Bring a lunch. No prior experience is necessary to thoroughly enjoy this class. Class size limited. Please specify either still life with vase or floral landscape when registering for this class.
